Alison Ward

Alison qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2008 and as a Trusts and Estates Practitioner in 2011

After starting her tax career working for a couple of firms in Liverpool City Centre, Alison moved to Stockport in 2002 and took up a position as a Tax Senior with former local independent firm, Booth Ainsworth LLP. Promotion to Tax Manager followed.

After 12 years, Alison took a break from Private Practice to join leading Tax Professional Body, The Association of Taxation Technicians as a Technical Officer. During her time there she gained an invaluable insight into the workings of HMRC and The Treasury and a greater understanding of how new tax law is developed. However, Alison’s real passion is providing excellent customer service and tax advice to clients.

She enjoys helping her clients navigate and understand the complex UK tax system, so a return to Private Practice was always inevitable. In 2019, Alison joined the Hart’s Team as Tax Manager.

Together with her dedicated and professional team, she provides a broad range of tax services from personal taxation planning and compliance, capital gains tax and property tax, trusts and estates work, business and corporate tax services.

Outside of the office, Alison is an Education Volunteer for animal Charity, Blue Cross where she provides class assemblies, workshops and online talks to Primary School-aged children on dog safety, responsibilities of dog ownership and pet care.
